Dogwoof is a London-based documentary film company integrating production, sales, and theatrical distribution. To date, Dogwoof’s titles have earned 37 Academy Award nominations, including seven winners, alongside five BAFTA-winning films. Notable titles include the 2025 Oscar-winning No Other Land; the Oscar- and BAFTA-winning 20 Days in Mariupol and Navalny; the Oscar- and BAFTA-winning Free Solo; the BAFTA-nominated Apollo 11; and the Oscar- and BAFTA-nominated Fire of Love and All That Breathes. Other highlights include the BAFTA-winning The Act of Killing and Blackfish.

Selected Dogwoof productions include Every Little Thing (Sundance 2024), McEnroe (Showtime/NBCUniversal), The Lost Leonardo (Sony Pictures Classics), Citizen Ashe (Telluride 2021, CNN Films), Copa 71 (TIFF 2023), and Playing with Sharks (Sundance 2021, National Geographic).

Recent titles include the Oscar- and BAFTA-nominated Black Box Diaries (sold to MTV Documentary Films), the Oscar-nominated Sugarcane, 2000 Meters to Andriivka from Oscar-winning filmmaker Mstyslav Chernov (20 Days in Mariupol), One to One: John & Yoko from Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald, and The Cycle of Love from Oscar-winning director Orlando von Einsiedel.

Dogwoof’s recent festival slate includes six titles at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, with Who Killed Alex Odeh? and The Story of Documentary Film also selected for the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter additionally premiering in Cannes Classics. Dogwoof will also world premiere two new documentaries at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival: Low Lies the Land by Emanuele Gerosa and Edward Said: Between Worlds by Maiken Baird.

Anna Godas

CEO

Anna Godas is the CEO of Dogwoof, where she has transformed the company from a small UK-based independent film distributor into a leading global brand in documentary. She spearheaded the creation of Dogwoof’s international sales division and, more recently, its production arm. Anna’s vision is to build a fully integrated studio dedicated to true stories. Born in Barcelona, Spain, she holds an Executive MBA and Master’s degrees in Film Production and Screenwriting.

Oli Harbottle

Chief Content Officer

Oli Harbottle has been at Dogwoof since 2006, and was part of the original team who made the decision to specialise in documentaries the following year. As Chief Content Officer, he is responsible for acquisitions across the company's slate as well as the sourcing of projects for production. He also continues to oversee the company's releasing slate, with a focus on talent relationships and strategic company partnerships. Oli was born in London.

Nirav Patel

Chief Financial Officer

Nirav is Dogwoof’s numbers guru; he joined the Company in 2011 after leaving over 15 years of Practice to get commercial experience. He maintains the day to day accounting records and looks after all the financial reporting requirements of the Company. Nirav was born in London.

Helena Feltham

People Director

Helena currently holds non-executive roles with Dogwoof; Ted Baker plc, where she is senior independent director and chair of the nomination committee; and The Retail Trust. She has previously held executive roles at B&Q PLC and was People Director at Jack Wills, Woolworths South Africa and Marks and Spencer. She also spent time in executive search with Odgers Berndtson, covering senior appointments across both public and private sectors. She has served as a non-executive director in the NHS, as an independent director of the Assembly of Wales and as a Justice of the Peace. Helena was born in Wolverhampton, UK.

Will Kane

EP, Head of Legal & Business Affairs

Will is a producer, executive producer and Head of Business Affairs at Dogwoof working across development, production, sales & distribution. Prior to joining Dogwoof, Will's documentary films and series included Amazon miniseries Pistorius, about the former Olympic sprinter and convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius which he wrote and produced; and BBC two-part series/film Gazza, about former England footballer Paul Gascoigne and the media mania that surrounded his troubled personal life. Will's scripted films have played at Venice, TIFF, SXSW, AFI, and LFF amongst others. Will grew up in England with a few stops along the way in Scotland, Thailand, China and more recently South Africa.

DROO PADHIAR

HEAD OF MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Droo has worked in film distribution since 2009, across both Hollywood studios and independent cinema, with a focus on marketing and publicity at companies including STUDIOCANAL, Verve Pictures and Peccadillo Pictures. Since joining Dogwoof in 2019, Droo has led UK and international sales marketing strategy and, since 2024, overseen communications across the business. She co-leads the day-to-day management of theatrical releasing campaigns and leads PR and marketing strategy across campaigns, spanning production, sales, festivals and release. She has led the marketing launch of documentaries such as Apollo 11, Marianne & Leonard, Fire of Love, No Other Land and Navalny, as well as international campaigns for Oscar-nominated titles including Black Box Diaries and Dogwoof productions Citizen Ashe, Every Little Thing and Copa 71. Born in London, she holds a BA in Film.

KATIE BENCH

HEAD OF SALES

Katie leads the international sales department, working across all sales and presales for our production and sales titles. She joined in 2022 and has worked on the international roll-outs of titles including 2000 Meters to Andriivka, 20 Days in Mariupol, Black Box Diaries, The Eternal Memory and Beyond Utopia. Katie previously worked in factual TV distribution, covering production, acquisitions and sales at TVF International, where she began her career in documentaries. She was born in Kent, UK.

Tom Howson

Head of Theatrical Sales & Festivals

Tom joined Dogwoof in 2022 and is responsible for building relationships with cinemas across the globe and managing international festivals at Dogwoof. Tom’s career began in exhibition, managing venues at both Everyman and Picturehouse cinemas, before moving into international sales at The Salt Company and then distribution at Vertigo. He spent six years managing theatrical sales at Trafalgar Releasing, working on features including Oasis Knebworth 1996, They Shall Not Grow Old and Nick Cave's One More Time With Feeling, while devising release strategies for a diverse portfolio of Event Cinema with international clients including the Met Opera and Bolshoi Ballet. Tom was born in Copenhagen and brought up in London.

Nico Wasserman

Senior Development Producer

Nico is a development producer specialising in feature documentaries and series. He has 20 years experience across unscripted productions, having started his career as a researcher on the BBC’s longrunning Arena strand, and has been a director, showrunner and executive producer at companies including BBC Studios, Sony Music, Pulse Films and Steve McQueen’s Lammas Park. A lifelong Londoner, he was born in Hammersmith and still carries around a battered A-Z.

CLEO VEGER

SALES & ACQUISITIONS CONSULTANT

Cleo works closely with Dogwoof’s sales & acquisitions team as a consultant. Formerly Head of Sales at Dogwoof, she has continued to support the team following her relocation to the Netherlands, bringing her extensive expertise to both areas. Originally from the Netherlands, Cleo studied in Boston.

GREG TOMKINS

FINANCE MANAGER

Greg joined Dogwoof in Feb 2020 as Finance Officer having spent over 10 years working in various accounting roles within UK film distribution. Prior to that he co-managed the restoration of an independent Art Deco cinema in Hertfordshire. Greg is Dogwoof’s bookkeeper and helps Nirav to maintain the day to day accounting records. Greg was born in Watford, UK.

Misia Pawlowska

DEVELOPMENT PRODUCER

Misia is a Development Producer specialising in development and international productions. After working at Passion Pictures for over three years, and accumulating eight years of experience across unscripted, scripted and entertainment genres, she joined Dogwoof in May 2023 with an objective to focus on originating global ground-breaking programming and fostering opportunities for diverse up-and-coming talent. Credits include documentaries such as Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, Merkel, Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In, and Rising Phoenix. Misia holds a Master of Arts degree in Filmmaking: Business and Producing and was born in Poland.

Tilly Hudson

Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager

Tilly joined Dogwoof in 2023 after roles at Bertha DocHouse and MUBI. She leads the strategic planning and execution of digital campaigns across social media, email, and paid media. She creates assets and writes copy, supports campaign planning, and tracks performance metrics. With a background in filmmaking and curation, she holds a BA from Manchester School of Art and an MA from Birkbeck.

Ellie Herdman

SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE

Ellie joined Dogwoof in July 2024. She joins the sales team and is responsible for TV, Airline and educational sales across a number of territories. Ellie previously worked at Espresso Media doing TV sales and Acquisitions. She has a degree in Film Studies from King's College London and was born in London.

ASHA HURREE

Technical Manager

Asha is responsible for technical servicing at Dogwoof. She has over 20 years of experience in the post-production industry. During her time at Dogwoof she has worked on notable releases such as Blackfish, The Act of Killing and Navalny. She is also a keen tennis player and plays for Middlesex league. Asha was born in London.

Mike Leedham

Designer

Mike has been operating his own design company, 2D Design, for a number of years and has been the Dogwoof in-house designer since 2006. Mike designs our DVD sleeves, posters, adverts, web banners, and was responsible for the Dogwoof logo. If it's Dogwoof branded, there’s a fair chance Mike designed it! Mike was born in Essen, Germany.

CAMILLA TASSI

DISTRIBUTION EXECUTIVE

After obtaining an MA in Film and Screen Media, with a focus on Film Programming and Curating, Camilla began her career working across film festivals and exhibition. She spent several years programming festivals before joining Dogwoof in February 2022, where she now works across the theatrical distribution of all UK releases. She was born in Rome, Italy.
