Dogwoof Sales was created in 2011, and has established itself as a leading world sales agents for documentaries like Blackfish, Dior and I, and Cartel Land, offering filmmakers world class representation, alongside raising finance, UK theatrical distribution and direct to consumer global distribution via our international network of online and theatrical partners.
Our current production slate includes Werner Herzog's "Into The Inferno", "Vivienne Westwood: Get a Life", a unique journey into one of fashion's most extraordinary character, and films about charismatic artists Kusama and Chris Burden. We have recently branched out into documentary TV series, starting with "It is Written" a 3 part series by Sundance winner David Sington.
Dogwoof Ltd started life as a UK theatrical distributor of independent films; it is a London based company, and was founded in 2004 by Andy Whittaker and Anna Godas. The company have theatrically released a huge range of award-winning and highly popular films including Blackfish, Dior and I, The Look of Silence, The Act of Killing, Cutie and the Boxer, Restrepo, The Queen of Versailles, Food Inc,. The House I Live In, The Age of Stupid, Food, Inc., Dreams of a Life, and The Spirit of ’45.
Dogwoof is currently focusing on growing the production arm of documentary features and series, working with key producers on steering the company towards vertical integration.
