Happy Birthday Jason Becker!

Real-life guitar hero Jason Becker will be celebrating his 43rd birthday on Sunday 22nd July with a screening of Jesse Vile’s film Jason Becker Not Dead Yet.

This truly inspiring film documents Jason’s extraordinary rise as a professional virtuoso guitarist, and his dramatic life experiences from when he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS), aged 19. Doctors predicted Jason would not survive more than 5 years, but the combination of his extraordinary character, his family’s incredible support  and, not least, his indomitable passion for music, meant that Jason is still living strong and making music today.

The big birthday bash will take place at the East Bay Center for Performing Arts in Jason’s hometown Richmond, California. Jason and his family will be attending the screening and participating in a Q&A with the audience. Join us for what promises to be an extraordinary event at 4pm and 7pm. Tickets available here.
