Dogwoof global Sales title Girl Model got its European Premiere at the Rome International Film Festival last week and also picked up two awards.
A special international jury, headed by Francesca Comencini and comprised of Pietro Marcello, James Marsh, Anne Lai, Meghan Wurtz awarded the Marc'Aurelio Award for best documentary in the Extra Section to the film and it also picked up the EnelCuore Award (which guarantees Italian home video distribution).
Girl Model follows a complex supply chain between Siberia and Japan, within the modelling industry, told through the eyes of a scout and a 13 year-old model. It will be released in the UK and Irish cinemas in February 2012. You can find out more on Girl Model on the films website
